Welcome to the recruitment platform operated by Ubora Consultancy. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our services, including job postings, candidate applications, and recruitment facilitation. By engaging with our platform as an employer or applicant, you agree to be legally bound by the terms set out below.
1. Definitions
- “Ubora”, “We”, “Our”, or “Us” refers to Ubora Consultancy and its recruitment services.
- “Employer” means any company, organization, or individual submitting job posts or hiring through Ubora.
- “Candidate” or “Applicant” refers to any person submitting a job application via Ubora.
- “Job Listing” refers to employment opportunities advertised via Ubora’s website, email, or social media platforms.
2. Terms for Employers Posting Jobs
2.1 All job postings must be truthful, legally compliant, and free from discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, or any protected class under Tanzanian or Zanzibari law.
2.2 Employers must clearly state job titles, responsibilities, qualifications, location, employment type (e.g., full-time, part-time), and compensation structure if applicable.
2.3 Ubora charges service fees to employers who wish to delegate the candidate screening, shortlisting, and recruitment coordination to our team. These fees will be agreed upon in writing before any work begins.
2.4 Job posts intended solely to collect data, mislead candidates, or promote other services will be removed immediately.
2.5 By submitting a job to Ubora, employers give us permission to distribute, promote, and publish the job listing across various channels we manage, including websites, newsletters, and social media.
2.6 Employers agree to notify Ubora when a role has been successfully filled so the listing can be deactivated or updated.
3. Terms for Candidates Applying to Jobs
3.1 All applicants must ensure that the information submitted in applications, including CVs and supporting documents, is complete, accurate, and original.
3.2 Submitting false information or applying with another person’s credentials will result in disqualification.
3.3 Applying for a job through Ubora does not guarantee shortlisting, interview invitation, or job placement.
3.4 By submitting your application, you authorize Ubora to share your documents with the employer or recruiting partner related to the role.
3.5 Ubora may retain your CV in a talent pool and contact you for future roles relevant to your profile unless you explicitly opt out.
4. Recruitment Facilitation and Hiring
4.1 Ubora offers end-to-end recruitment support, including job posting, candidate screening, interviews coordination, and offer facilitation.
4.2 Employers engaging Ubora for recruitment services agree to pay a facilitation fee that will be invoiced and documented before the process begins.
4.3 Once a candidate is hired through Ubora’s referral or facilitation, the employer must inform us in writing within seven (7) days.
4.4 Ubora does not act as the employer and shall not be held liable for employment disputes, contract breaches, or post-hiring performance, unless otherwise agreed upon under a separate written agreement.
4.5 All employment contracts, negotiations, and onboarding remain the responsibility of the hiring employer.
5. Code of Conduct
All parties using our recruitment services agree to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully. This includes:
- No discrimination or harassment in any form
- Transparent communication throughout the recruitment process
- Respecting privacy and confidentiality of all information shared
Ubora reserves the right to remove any user or listing that violates this code of conduct.
6. Data Protection and Confidentiality
6.1 Ubora Consultancy is committed to protecting your privacy. All personal and business data collected will be handled in accordance with Tanzanian data protection laws.
6.2 We will not sell or misuse any candidate or employer data. Data will be shared only as necessary for recruitment purposes.
6.3 All parties are responsible for safeguarding their own login credentials and information.
7. Termination and Modifications
7.1 Ubora reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to our platform or services at any time in case of violation of these Terms.
7.2 We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. Continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, including the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar where applicable. Disputes arising from these services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts in Tanzania Mainland or Zanzibar, depending on the matter’s nature and location.
